Signet Jewelers is seeking an experienced litigation and employment attorney to join their legal team as Manager & Legal Counsel, Litigation and Employment. The role involves managing a portfolio of litigation and claims matters, providing strategic legal advice, and collaborating with internal stakeholders. The successful candidate will be a collaborative problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, business-oriented environment.
Requirements
- Manage an active docket of litigation matters, including employment claims, general liability cases, consumer litigation, arbitrations, administrative charges, and pre-litigation demands
- Partner with and manage outside counsel to drive effective case strategy, control costs, and ensure high-quality legal representation
- Provide strategic and timely advice and counsel to HR and business leaders on a wide range of employment and operational matters
- Handle single-plaintiff administrative charges and employment litigation matters through all phases, including case evaluation, discovery, depositions, mediation, and resolution
- Support the Company in employment-related risk management, including workplace investigations, discipline, terminations, accommodations, and leave issues
- Assist with complex litigation and enterprise compliance initiatives as needed
- Oversee eDiscovery, legal holds, document preservation, and subpoena responses
- Prepare periodic litigation reports, risk assessments, and budgeting updates for internal stakeholders
- Support internal training, compliance initiatives, and policy/guideline development related to employment law and litigation risk
- Travel as needed to participate in hearings, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations
