SIL Global is a worldwide nonprofit organization that partners with local communities to develop and implement language solutions that support education, development, and cultural preservation. With over 4,300 staff members from 86 countries and collaborations with thousands of local partners, SIL manages more than 1,500 active language projects across 119 nations, reaching an estimated 950 million people. The organization’s core services include linguistics research, multilingual education, translation, language policy and development, sign language support, language technology, and documentation of language and culture. SIL’s work is delivered without regard to religious belief, political ideology, gender, race, or ethnicity, providing inclusive expertise that enables communities to thrive using the languages they value most.
