
Job description
Perform machinist duties associated with production of components for pistols, revolvers and rifles. Operate computer numerical controlled machines to fabricate parts. Machinists are expected to have achieved advanced skills and be able to perform complex production work in the following areas: set-up, tech support, and advanced CNC machining.
Performing all general/intermediate machinist duties and responsibilities, setting-up CNC equipment, loading feed mechanism, verifying settings and adjusting CNC accordingly, maintaining safe operations, maintaining equipment, managing a co-worker, documenting actions, working with floor supervisors and team leaders, and working with Quality Control personnel.
Ideal candidate has knowledge of CNC controls, experience operating various machines, ability to interpret CMM reports, knowledge of SPC, and excellent conceptual skills, process improvement, verbal communication, functional and technical skills, and attention to detail.
