Job description
Our AFNCR contract at Andrews Air Force Base, MD is seeking an experienced Network Engineer. As a dynamic systems integrator, SMS offers proven solutions in engineering, operations, cybersecurity, and digital transformation.
Monitor data or infrastructure system networks for various messages, alarms, or issues. Identify issues or problems and resolves as appropriate; escalates when necessary. Troubleshoot problems using scripts and standard, routine procedures; escalates as appropriate.
Expert knowledge with LAN switching, including Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs), VLAN Trunk Protocol (VTP), Port Security, Spanning Tree, and Layer 2 and 3 switching configurations. Expert knowledge with Layer 3 routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, IS-IS, etc.) and best practices on implementation.
