Job Description
The Senior Geotechnical Engineer leads multidisciplinary teams in the context of design projects for containment facilities for mining waste. They are involved in all stages of design work, from concept development to construction, and participate in technical reviews, inspect waste dump sites, and review dam stability and other studies.
Requirements
- University degree in civil engineering or geology and a graduate or postgraduate degree in geotechnique or equivalent experience
- Member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec or eligible to become one
- 12 to 20 years of experience in designing containment facilities for mining waste
- Good knowledge of French and English
- Knowledge of slope stability, flow, and deformation software
- Experience in dynamic analysis and seismicity
- Excellent teamworking skills within engineering teams
