Substation Engineer

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Substation Engineer to join their team in Augusta, ME. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 2 years of experience in substation engineering. They will be responsible for developing and reviewing electrical design packages, leading substation physical electrical design, and coordinating design activities with other team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience focused on the development of substation engineering for Intermediate positions
• A Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred for all positions, required for Senior positions
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Prior utility consulting experience is a plus
• Strong client focus and customer service
• A high level of interpersonal communication skills, including a strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills
• Knowledge of applicable industry standards including the National Electric Code (NEC), National Electric Safety Code (NESC), and IEEE
