Mid-level Java Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking a Mid-Level Java Developer with experience developing and supporting enterprise applications in a legacy Operations & Maintenance (O&M) environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong Java background and experience working with legacy technologies such as ColdFusion and PowerBuilder.

What You Will Do

Design, develop, maintain, and support enterprise applications in a legacy O&M environment using Java/J2EE technologies. Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to maintain system stability and performance.

Must be a US Citizen and must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance. Experience supporting and maintaining legacy applications in cloud-hosted environments, preferably involving ColdFusion and/or PowerBuilder.

Requirements

• Minimum of four years of experience with Java/J2EE application development and support in an enterprise environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience supporting and maintaining legacy applications in cloud-hosted environments, preferably involving ColdFusion and/or PowerBuilder.
• Experience developing and supporting Java web services, including SOAP and RESTful APIs.
• Working knowledge of frameworks and technologies such as Spring, Hibernate, or JPA.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL development; PostgreSQL or Sybase experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, XML, and AJAX.
• Experience using version control systems and CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, or Bamboo.
• Ability to troubleshoot application, integration, and production support issues in a fast-paced O&M environment.
