The Head of Department will lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of a departmental strategy aligned with the South African Reserve Bank's strategy. They will oversee the development and implementation of a prudential supervisory plan for supervised banks and insurance entities.

Requirements

• Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of a departmental strategy
• Develop an operational plan and budget for BISD
• Oversee the development and implementation of a prudential supervisory plan
• Manage the prudential oversight of licensed entities
• Ensure compliance by supervised entities with prescribed requirements
• Design, implement, and manage a risk-based supervisory programme
• Manage the risk, compliance, and governance relationship between the PA and the supervised entities
• Manage the performance and development of direct reports
• Represent the PA Management Committee
• Engage with stakeholders and represent the PA at various forums
