The Collections Specialist is responsible for collections of outstanding accounts receivable dollars from the existing client base and all other aspects of collections, resolving customer billing problems and reducing accounts receivable.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Current (five-years) of no felonies or substance abuse convictions
- 2 years of sobriety (if recovering alcoholic or drug addict)
- 1 year of collections experience in the healthcare field (preferably in mental health and substance abuse)
- Knowledge of insurance submittals procedures and medical forms and coding
- Strong problem solving, follow through, and analytical skills
- Excellent English; verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) and medical collections software
- Attention to detail with an eye for accuracy
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast changing environment
