Principal Software Architect

Principal Software Architect responsible for defining and driving the technical vision for SPX's evolving software ecosystem. Combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical validation. Key responsibilities include architecture vision and system design, technology strategy and standards, architectural governance and decision authority, current state assessment and transformation roadmap, cross-domain alignment and delivery support, hands-on prototyping and technical validation, and communication and influence.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in software engineering
• Proven experience designing distributed systems across cloud and application layers
• Strong experience with at least one major cloud platform
• Experience integrating hardware or embedded systems with cloud-based platforms
• Strong understanding of modern software architecture patterns and best practices
• Demonstrated ability to influence technical direction across multiple teams
• Excellent communication skills across both technical and non-technical audiences
