
Job description
The Mine Geologist is a salaried exempt position responsible for production of mine site mapping and drawings, and design drawings. The position requires an intensive use of CAD and graphic design work. The Mine Geologist will provide ore control calculation and generate field survey maps in a timely and accurate manner.
Primary responsibilities include development and implementation of blast hole/ore control programs, blast movement ore control programs, geotechnical monitoring programs, and resource models. The Mine Geologist will also monitor ground water management systems, blast monitoring, and geological and assay data quality.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of open pit hard rock mining principles and methods, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to assess risk in relation to occupational hazards. FAA Drone Certification is also required.
