The Medical Assistant will be responsible for daily patient flow for each respective physician for whom they work, assisting with patient care and supporting the vision, mission, and values of the organization.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Current MA Certification from one of the following: The American Medical Technology Association (AMT), The National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), The American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), The National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) Certification, National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or licensure as an intermediate or paramedic level EMT, Oregon LPN, or Oregon RN
- AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification
- Basic knowledge of ICD-10, CM/CPT/HCPCS coding conventions and procedures
- Working knowledge of medical practice management information systems
- Basic knowledge of physician office documentation standards
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and meet all HIPAA requirements
