Security Specialist I

Role Overview

The Security Specialist I is an entry-level position responsible for controlling access to facilities, enforcing site rules, and maintaining excellent customer service. The position is made up of three components: Visitor Control Center, Conference Center, and Escorting.

What You Will Do

Perform tasks for verifying clearances, issuing temporary badges, and expediting personnel entering and exiting the facility. Provide access control, generate work requests, and monitor facility cleanliness. Escort uncleared personnel, check security badges, and ensure compliance with security regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or state certified equivalent
• 1-year security or related experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI government security clearance with polygraph
• Proficient typing skills
• Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent oral/verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented and able to carry out work with the highest levels of accuracy
• Excellent time management skills
