Job Description
Stamford Health is seeking an Infection Preventionist to join their team, contributing to a facility-wide infection prevention program. This role involves surveillance, prevention, control of infection, data analysis, policy formulation, outbreak investigations, education of healthcare providers, and collaboration with clinical and support teams. The goal is to maintain a safe environment and minimize healthcare-associated infections.
Requirements
- Current RN license in the State of Connecticut
- Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) or willingness to be trained
- Three years of experience in an acute care hospital
- Awareness or experience with awareness or experience with NHSN data reporting and analysis
- Medical and Microbiological Terminology
- Effective communication skills and Public Speaking
- Comfortable with leading Forums, educational sessions, etc.
