Software Developer

Role Overview

Torch Technologies is seeking a skilled and security-conscious Software Developer to support our customers at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC). The role involves contributing to a culture of security and automation throughout the software development lifecycle, including writing clean, secure, and well-documented code, participating in security reviews, threat modeling, and vulnerability remediation efforts.

What You Will Do

Duties include architecture, design, and innovation, infrastructure and facilities integration, system engineering, virtualization, and cloud integration, monitoring, tooling, and documentation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software development principles and best practices, experience with secure coding practices, and familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST 800-series, DoW RMF, and DISA STIGs.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship
• Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field
• 8 to 12+ years' experience in software development
• Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices
• Experience with at least one modern programming language
• Experience with secure coding practices
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST 800-series, DoW RMF, and DISA STIGs
• Experience with version control systems such as Git
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Active Top Secret clearance (TS/SCI and SAP eligibility preferred)
