Job description
The Senior Juvenile Probation Officer is responsible for providing supervision and support to youth and their families within the juvenile justice system. This position requires a strong understanding of case management practices, interviewing and counseling techniques, and the ability to provide counseling and guidance to others. The Senior Juvenile Probation Officer will work with youth and their families to develop case plans, coordinate case assignments, and provide direct services and supervision as needed. This position may require non-traditional hours, including weekend and evening hours, and may involve transportation of youth. The successful candidate will be certified in accordance with State of Florida Department of Juvenile Justice direct care training policy and must maintain certification throughout employment.
