Loader Operator

Role Overview

The Loader Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of material within the yard, including loading and unloading trailers, kilns, and pole charges. This role requires working in and out of the loader/forklift to complete assigned tasks.

What You Will Do

Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner, complete forms legibly, and maintain accurate paperwork. Load/unload trucks quickly and accurately, and maintain good housekeeping in assigned areas.

This role requires attention to detail, basic trouble-shooting skills, and the ability to work under pressure. The ideal candidate will have good communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work independently and flexibly.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• Clean drivers abstract
• Forklift License (asset)
• Ability to sit for 7 hours or more
• Ability to lift 50lbs unassisted
• Good manual dexterity, hand eye co-ordination
• Comfortable completing repetitive tasks
• Attention to detail
• Basic trouble-shooting skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic math skills
