Product Design Release Engineer Team Lead - Engine Lubrication Systems

Role Overview

The Design Release Engineer Team Lead is responsible for the design, development, and technical leadership of engine lubrication and vent system components for Stellantis' vehicles. The role involves driving the design through all phases of the product lifecycle, including design concept, sourcing support, engineering validation, and production release.

What You Will Do

Design and release of system components, specifying hardware requirements, and collaborating with multiple teams to integrate components into the overall engine system. Manage design release activities, ensure all parts meet quality, cost, and timing requirements, and drive the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience working with engine components and systems design, a strong understanding of mechanics of materials, NVH, and fluid dynamics, and experience in selecting materials and manufacturing methods for mechanical components.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related degree field
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience working with engine components and systems design
• Understanding of Mechanics of Materials, NVH, Sealing systems, Fluid dynamics, Tribology, CAE Analysis, thermodynamics and GD&T
• Experience in selecting materials and manufacturing methods for mechanical components
• Ability to author system/component level requirements
• Strong interpersonal communication, team/leadership skills/experience
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong project management skills/experience
