IT Solution Architect

Role Overview

The IT Solution Architect will collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions. They will interpret business, technical, regulatory, and architectural requirements in researching and recommending solutions. The role involves evaluating and selecting appropriate technologies and platforms, ensuring solutions adhere to architectural standards and best practices, and participating in technology selection and providing recommendations.

What You Will Do

The IT Solution Architect will be responsible for developing estimates of the teamwork effort needed to deliver application solutions, identifying and managing potential risks associated with proposed solutions, and reviewing, analyzing, and documenting solutions for performance and scalability. They will also build and apply institutional knowledge, promote the understanding of OIT Architecture and industry standard patterns and practices, and capture and share best-practice knowledge with the solution architect community.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field
• Proven experience as a Solution Architect or in a similar role
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles and frameworks
• Experience with a variety of technologies and platforms
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
