Certified Nurse Midwife - Church Avenue

Sun River Health is seeking a full-time Certified Midwife at our Church Avenue site to provide comprehensive primary, preventative and behavioral health services to all who seek it, regardless of insurance status and ability to pay. The Certified Midwife will work in consultation with physicians for high-risk patients, plan, evaluate and deliver the health care of patients on assigned service, and provide on-call and hospital coverage for Health Center patients.

Requirements

• Master’s degree with Certification by the American College of Nurse Midwifery to practice in New York State
• 1 year of work experience
• Ability to perform deliveries as outlined in midwifery protocols and practice privileges
• Ability to provide supervision for clinical activities of nursing personnel
• Ability to coordinate test, referrals and care of patients outside the Health Center
