Academic Counselor for EOP

SUNY Ulster Community College is seeking an Academic Counselor for its EOP (Educational Opportunity Program) department. The position is a part-time, 17.5 hours per week, role that provides academic, career, and transfer planning services to students. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and experience in advising, student recruitment/retention, or related student services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Two (2) year or more previous experience in one or more of the following: advising, student recruitment/retention, case management, or related student services
• Commitment to community college goals and objectives
• Personal qualities to work effectively and with sensitivity in a multicultural environment
• Awareness of and commitment to the needs of non-traditional and/or re-entry students with diverse abilities and interests
