Student Success Counselor

Student Success Counselor position available at SUNY Ulster County Community College. The Counselor will provide counseling and advising on complex issues regarding student academic progress and wellness, manage a caseload of students, and support students in accessing community-based resources. The position requires a Bachelor's Degree in education, student development, social work, or a related field, and two years of experience in advising, student recruitment/retention, case management, or related student services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in education, student development, social work, or a related field
• Two years of experience in advising, student recruitment/retention, case management, or related student services
• Proven track record of supporting students or clients in overcoming personal or academic challenges
• Experience with programs and strategies to support first-generation, low-income, non-traditional, minoritized, and at-risk students
• Experience utilizing technology for day-to-day tasks
• Excellent oral and written communication skills along with strong information technology literacy skills
