The Virtualization Administrator II is responsible for managing and maintaining the agency's virtualized IT infrastructure to ensure its stability, performance, and security. This includes administering both on-prem and cloud hosted environments, resolving virtualization-related issues, and supporting agency IT initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 5-7 years of experience leading virtualization administration
- Demonstrated experience in leading the management of VMware, Hyper-V, or similar technologies
- Automating IT administration and server provisioning through tools such as Azure DevOps, Azure Automation, Azure CLI, PowerShell, VMWare PowerCLI, and Terraforms
- Integrating infrastructure tool APIs to enable the deployment of Infrastructure as Code integrated with CI/CD deployment pipelines
