
Job description
We are looking for a dedicated Port Engineer to ensure the operational readiness of our ships. As T-Solutions' onboard representative, you will play a crucial role in validating shipboard conditions and leading a maintenance team. Your primary responsibility will be to routinely validate shipboard conditions through personal observation and evaluation.
As a Port Engineer, you will manage an online database for all jobs, validate work requests, assign preliminary estimates, and plan prioritized work packages within budget and time constraints. You will also review work specifications, coordinate schedules with repair activities, oversee repairs, and provide input for all maintenance funding decisions.
This role requires a strong understanding of commercial maritime, U.S. Navy, USCG, Military Sealift Command, or National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration ship maintenance and repair. You will work closely with the ships' crew, department heads, and commanding officers to ensure mission readiness.
