Job Description
Talen Energy has a job opening for a Mechanical Engineer to support its fleet of power plants in Baltimore, MD. The position involves providing engineering support and technical expertise for the operation, maintenance, and improvement of mechanical systems and equipment in a fossil-fuel power plant.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 2-5 years of experience in an industrial setting
- In-depth understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals and applicable design codes
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues involving mechanical systems, rotating equipment, and process performance
- Ability to lead or coordinate mechanical projects involving maintenance, equipment upgrades, or major overhauls
- Ability to develop project scopes, cost estimates, and schedules for maintenance, modification, and capital projects
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally
