Material Handler - 2nd Shift

Role Overview

Taylor Corporation is a growing, dynamic company with big plans for the future. We're looking for a Material Handler for our 2nd Shift in Amsterdam, NY. The role involves unloading and staging incoming shipments, preparing and breaking down inbound shipments, and operating forklifts and other material moving equipment.

What You Will Do

Unload and stage incoming shipments, prepare and break down inbound shipments, put away product into correct locations, pull orders accurately, operate forklifts and other material moving equipment, and perform general warehouse housekeeping.

Why It Might Be a Fit

We're looking for someone who can safely operate a forklift, use a computer operating system to track inventory, and follow instructions. You should be able to work as a team member and independently, and have flexibility to perform a variety of job assignments.

Requirements

• Ability to safely operate a forklift and use a computer operating system to track inventory
• Ability to follow instructions
• Ability to work as a team member and independently
• Flexibility to perform a variety of job assignments
• Familiar with basic computer operations
• Math skills including addition, subtraction, fractions and decimals are required to follow instructions
• Ability and willingness to perform repetitive tasks
• Ability to follow safety procedures
• Prior warehouse/receiving experience
