MATERIAL HANDLER I

Job Overview: Examines the incoming and outgoing stocks, stores and distributes materials, and performs administrative tasks involved in shipping. Maintains required stockroom inventory records. Keeps materials organized and issues per requisition. Prepares parts and tooling to be shipped for outside work, checks and assembles necessary shippers. Maintains necessary records to enable purchasing department to control flow. Obtains factory supply items, as authorized by purchasing department. Receives, checks, and delivers purchased materials, supplies and manufactures items. Works in a team environment, trains other employees as needed, and assists in logistic tasks such as loading or unloading trucks. Must be able to lift 40 lbs.

Requirements

• Completion of high school or equivalent is usually required
• Must meet ITAR compliance requirements for employment
• Ability to operate computers essential. MS Excel and Word.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs.
• Must be productive, accountable, responsible, and have great attendance
