Pit Supervisor

Role Overview

The Pit Supervisor is responsible for supervising frontline mining crews and equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant execution of daily mining activities. This role focuses on maintaining operational discipline, monitoring performance, and providing clear direction to operators to achieve production targets.

What You Will Do

Direct and supervise operators and field personnel to execute daily mining plans, oversee loading, hauling, dumping, and pit development activities, and ensure proper traffic flow and pit conditions for safe and efficient operations.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in open pit mining operations with supervisory responsibilities
• Valid Shift Boss Certificate or eligibility for certification
• Class 5 Driver’s License (or equivalent)
• Strong understanding of mine safety regulations and operational standards
• Basic computer skills; experience with fleet management systems (MineStar, Autonomous Haulage) is an asset
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain composure under pressure
