An occupational therapist shall plan, direct and perform occupational therapy evaluations and care plans individualized to meet the need of each patient.
Requirements
- Supervise Occupational Therapist Assistants, rehabilitation technicians, occupational therapy and occupational therapist assistant students, and volunteers
- Participate in scheduling of patient treatments, multidisciplinary care planning and patient education, and team support of other areas of service
- Develop care plans that promote restoration of function, coping skills for cognitive impairments, improvement in muscle strength, increase of endurance, education of the patient and their families about rehabilitation principles
