Nuclear Medicine Technologist Contingent Days

Performs diagnostic nuclear medicine exams, verifies patient identity, and reviews medical records. Explains procedures to patients and sets up equipment. Reviews images and communicates data to radiologists.

Requirements

• Registered in Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine Technology (N)
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support – Healthcare Provider (BLS) training
• Analytical and clinical skills
• Interpersonal and communication skills
• Technical knowledge to operate equipment
• Ability to work productively and effectively in a complex environment
• Knowledge and understanding of American College of Radiology requirements for accreditation
• Physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting, and positioning of patients
