Optical Engineer (Teradyne, North Reading, MA)

We are seeking an Optical Systems Engineer to support the development of advanced optical and optoelectronic systems, contributing to system design, laboratory validation, and product integration.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
• 0-2 years of experience in optical engineering
• Foundational experience with optical systems, photonics, or optoelectronic devices
• Hands-on laboratory experience with optical alignment, measurement, and experimental data collection
• Basic understanding of optical principles such as imaging, diffraction, polarization, and radiometry
• Familiarity with optical design, simulation, or data analysis tools (e.g., Zemax, Code V, MATLAB, Python)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
