Propulsion Engineer

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Propulsion Engineer to support the technical development, certification, and verification of integrated propulsion systems for multiple space vehicles. The ideal candidate will work with a team of engineers to assess the design and safe operation of propulsion systems for manned vehicles and ensure technical certification of multiple propulsion systems. The position requires 100% onsite work at NASA Kennedy Space Center in FL.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in a STEM discipline
• 6 years or more of professional engineering/scientific experience
• Experience with in-space spacecraft chemical propulsion systems and propellant tank / delivery subsystems
• Knowledge of fundamental and advanced engineering principles in aerospace, mechanical, electrical engineering, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics used in the design, evaluation and optimization of propulsion and propellant systems for space flight vehicles
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
