Physician Manager, Research

The Physician Manager, Research supports the development and implementation of the CMPA research plan along with the Director, Safe Medical Care Insights & Thought Leadership. The Manager ensures the successful progression of the research plan by providing strategic and proactive planning of individual staff projects and providing advice, guidance and coaching to ESU employees.

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD) and at least 10 years of experience in the provision of clinical care
• Experience in formulating research questions, creating protocols, analysing data and engaging in knowledge translation
• Research scientist in quality improvement, patient safety and related methodologies is an asset
• Demonstrated experience with manuscript writing process and peer-reviewed publication process, and a track record of successful publication in peer-reviewed journals.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and managing operational plans and budgets
