The Campus Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the repair and preventative maintenance of exterior and interior building systems, including roofs, walls, eaves, soffits, gutters, floors, walls, and ceilings. The role involves managing work-order flow, performing routine building maintenance, and supervising the implementation of workplace safety practices and policies.
Requirements
- High degree of knowledge as it relates to safe work environments and best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with critical deadlines simultaneously.
- Ability to strategically prioritize and balance preventative maintenance and major projects with daily requested maintenance work.
- Ability to troubleshoot and implement solutions to complex problems.
- Skilled at operating various types of forklifts, man-lifts, aerial lifts and tractors to perform specific tasks and also train others for proper use as well.
- Excellent Blueprint reading skills.
- Knowledge of national and city building codes.
- Awareness of ADA requirements and implementation in all aspects.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Able to work alone or as part of the team on a broad variety of projects.
