Training & Development Specialist I

Role Overview

The Training and Development Specialist reports to Specialist, Training & Development II, and is responsible for developing and delivering high-quality, impactful in-person training sessions to program staff. This position applies comprehensive knowledge of the organization's student outcomes and objectives with a strong understanding and knowledge of adult learning strategies to deliver highly effective training.

What You Will Do

Conduct in-person training sessions for program staff, assess and create training content, deliver and optimize content training within specific program and student grade levels, and create and provide program-specific training and facilitation training.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in education/related field/experience from four-year college or university
• Minimum of 3+ years' experience in training and facilitation in respect to grade level area (elementary and early learning or older youth)
• Knowledge of Adult Learning principles
• Experience in delivering training to large and small groups of diverse learners to scaffold learning
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
