Training and Competence Manager - South West

The Titan Group is looking for a Training and Competence Manager to develop Trainee Financial Planners in the South East of England to reach competent adviser status (CAS), monitor the competency of Financial Planners, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and procedures. The role is a remote-based position with responsibility for supporting a portfolio of advisers across the region, with approximately two days per week spent visiting advisers. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly expanding company with a unique combination of start-up energy and the security of private equity backing.

Requirements

• Current experience working in a Training & Competence role within the Financial Services sector supervising Financial Planners in all areas (Pensions, Investments and Protection) with a deep understanding of Financial Planning and a client centric approach.
• Experience of providing effective Coaching.
• Working knowledge of relevant FCA rules.
• A solid understanding of complaints procedures.
• A good understanding of other relevant legislation, including that related to financial crime and GDPR.
• An strong understanding of updating policies and procedures.
• An in depth understanding of Training & Competency.
• Working knowledge of and be competent with Microsoft Applications
