Ocean Freight Procurement Manager

Role Overview

This is a senior commercial leadership role responsible for end-to-end ownership of the ocean product, from rate procurement and pricing through to customer solutions and profitability. Leading the regional ocean freight pricing and services team, you will drive competitive positioning, secure capacity, and translate strategy into scalable, high-impact outcomes.

What You Will Do

Define and execute the country-level ocean pricing and procurement strategy in line with global and regional frameworks. Lead carrier sourcing, contract negotiation and the Core Carrier Program to secure competitive rates, capacity and service continuity. Drive yield and margin improvement through pricing discipline, cost analysis, KPI management and accurate rate administration.

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and freight management platforms, including CargoWise, with CargoSphere preferred
• Sound knowledge of local customs requirements and maritime regulations governing ocean freight operations
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and leadership skills
