Job Description
The Specialty Nurse Educator provides quality nursing education and training to the clinical team, collaborating with management, education, and LIP team members to identify and address staff learning needs. The role involves reporting to the Director of Staff Education and Chief Nursing Office and cooperating with other clinical educators and the patient care team.
Requirements
- Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Minimum of five (5) years of acute pediatric clinical experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a specified area of nursing practice in pediatrics
- Minimum of one (1) year experience providing clinical education to nurses in the particular area of specialty hired to provide
- Ability to lift thirty (30) pounds without assistance
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
