Role Overview
The Adjunct Instructor works with the Program Chair and Lead Course Instructor to teach program courses, advising and supervising master’s degree candidates, and participating in faculty collaborative learning.
What You Will Do
Teach graduate course sections in areas such as child/adolescent development, assessment, teaching students with disabilities, and literacy instruction.

Requirements
- Masters Degree required, earned doctorate preferred, in Curriculum, Instruction, Special Education, or related field
- Current certification in Early Childhood Education and in Special Education
- Successful classroom teaching experience, Birth – Grade 2, of diverse students
- Successful graduate-level teaching experience, face-to-face and/or online
- Successful leadership experience
- Experience in course and program design
- Successful experience supervising degree candidates in clinical field placements, if assigned for clinical supervision
- Commitment to culturally relevant and sustaining pedagogy
- Knowledge of NYSED teacher certification examinations
- Excellent communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
- Proficiency in online learning platforms including Canvas and Zoom
