Outdoor Education Program Instructor

American Outdoor Christian Education is seeking a Seasonal Outdoor Education Program Instructor to lead hikes, teach lessons, and help students grow through various program elements. The instructor will work with students, teachers, and chaperones, and be required to stay overnight for weekly programs.

Requirements

• Instruct groups of students in various activities
• Develop professional relationships with guests and coworkers
• Perform duties and/or participate in activities including teaching the outdoor education curriculum, leading various program elements, and enforcing dining hall standards
• Supervise a group of students in a cabin overnight
• Travel to multiple sites for the outdoor education programs
• Attend team meetings
• Provide supportive leadership when necessary
• Assist in cleaning and inventory management
• Provide first aid and basic health care when necessary
