TULLOCH is seeking a Survey Crew Chief to join its Geomatics team in Timmins, ON. The role will involve assessing field and documentary evidence, performing boundary surveys, and overseeing field activities. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of practical experience, proficiency in setting up and operating survey equipment, and knowledge of Ontario survey evidence and regulations.
Requirements
- Assess field and documentary evidence to perform boundary surveys
- Perform pre-engineering, topographic surveys while overseeing field activities
- Read and decipher design documents and basic layout calculations on the fly
- Perform high-precision surveys such as industrial layout, deformation monitoring, levelling, and static control network surveys
- Perform construction layout for anchor bolt locations, grid lines, formwork, concrete piers, and footings
- Collect field data using traditional survey instruments such as total station and high precision levels as well as GPS field equipment
- Oversee QC of data collection ensuring that field notes and daily downloads are complete
- Collect terrestrial scanning and UAV data
- Interact with clients while onsite
- Mentor and train new field staff
