
Job description
The Studies Engineer for the dynamic studies team is expected to perform tasks such as developing PSSE, PSLF, TSAT, and PSCAD models of renewable plants, performing model quality tests and model benchmarking, and understanding dynamic model block diagrams and tuning parameters to meet regional model performance requirements.
The Studies Engineer will develop custom master plant controls for large multi-resource renewable projects, research and test relatively new available models of datacenter loads, and work closely with the business development team to understand customer needs and application.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, a minimum of 5 years of working experience directly related to power systems or control systems, and experience with Matlab Simulink, PSS®E, and PSCAD software.
