
Job description
The Design Civil/Structural Engineer will work in the Substation department to support Renewables/Utility/Power projects. They will make design recommendations, adaptations, and modifications for foundation design, structural steel design, and grading plans. The engineer will perform calculations using engineering formulas and skills and complete their own design work.
The Design Civil/Structural Engineer will apply current engineering techniques and procedures to complete engineering tasks. They will develop plans, specifications, and observation reports, and work closely with engineering technicians and experienced engineers.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering, and a minimum of 2 years of engineering experience. They will have knowledge of electrical utility substation layout and design, and experience using MathCAD, STAAD, or equivalent software.
