
Job description
The Programme Management Specialist will support the Ghana country programme, leading the execution of programmes, ensuring alignment with UNDP and UNCDF rules, regulations, and priorities. The Specialist will be responsible for programme development and implementation, financial and resource management, knowledge and capacity building, and stakeholder engagement.
The Specialist will lead on annual work plans, draft and quality assure donors' narrative reports, provide guidance on Responsible Party selection, and maintain a relationship with Project Management Support Unit and Operations Effectiveness and Assurance Unit. The Specialist will also manage budgets, ensure efficient allocation of resources, and lead financial reporting and compliance with donor reporting arrangements.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of experience in leading teams for the delivery of development projects funded by international donors, including experience in development finance, digital finance, and youth employment. The candidate should have experience in project cycle, budget/financial management, and coordination, as well as experience using Oracle and Salesforce-based systems such as Quantum and Quantum+.
