The Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) is a skilled health provider who through a written collaborative practice agreement with a physician is credentialed through the Medical Staff Office. As a member of the Medical Staff the APN demonstrates standards of professional practice that includes ethical decision making, job activities related to quality assessment/improvement, self-evaluation, leadership, and research.
Requirements
- A current Registered/Professional Nurse license and registration in the State of New Jersey is required.
- Completion of an educational program which is designed and conducted to prepare graduates to practice as an NP/APN with a master’s degree in nursing and eligible for certification by a national certifying body.
- Evidence of excellent interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, and creative problem solving are essential.
- A minimum of two (2) years of clinical nursing experience and current BLS certification are required.
