University of Alabama at Birmingham’s Department of Pathology, in collaboration with the MSM/TU/UAB O’CCC Partnership, offers a two-year intensive, eight-week summer research training program (PRSTP) for rising sophomore undergraduates. The program delivers mentored research experiences in cancer medicine, basic cancer research, and health disparities, fostering early career development in oncology. By integrating expertise from multiple institutions, PRSTP provides a unique interdisciplinary platform that accelerates scientific discovery and promotes diversity in the biomedical workforce. Participants benefit from hands-on laboratory training, mentorship from leading researchers, and exposure to cutting-edge translational research projects.
