Post Doctoral Scholar

A Post Doctoral Scholar position is available at the University of Central Florida under the direction of Professor Saiful Khondaker. The position involves leading and contributing to independent and collaborative research projects involving synthesis, device fabrication, and investigation of electronic and vibrational properties of 2D/quantum materials.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in physics, electrical engineering, or a related field
• Demonstrated skills in fabrication of 2D materials based nanodevices
• Low noise electrical transport measurements and related device physics
• Investigation of novel physics using TERS, C-AFM, and related SPM techniques
• Strong publication record in high quality journals
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Creative, hardworking, and self-motivated
• Ability and interest to pursue challenging problems independently and collaboratively
• Ability to work safely and independently within a supportive group setting
• Ensure compliance with environment, safety, health program requirements

Benefits

• Salary: $57,000/yr
