The Communications Specialist works as part of the Public Safety Communications Division's day-to-day operations for emergency and non-emergency police, security, and alarm system monitoring services.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of experience in a call center environment, law enforcement adjacent field, or profession that interacts heavily with the public
- APCO Public Safety Telecommunicator I certification
- NCIC and Regional Justice Information System (REJIS) certification
- APCO Communications Training Officer certification
- Valid Kansas or Missouri Driver's License
