Job Description
Assists physicians and nursing staff in patient care, performs patient flow activities, takes vitals, gives injections, and performs front desk and clerical duties.
Requirements
- Medical Assistant certification
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program
- Two to three years related medical office experience
- General understanding and application of basic accounting principles
- PC proficiency
- Strong customer service skills
- Accurate data entry skills
- Current knowledge of payer requirements for referrals and pre-authorization
- Knowledge of GE, EPIC or similar computerized billing system
- Medical terminology preferred
- CPR certification
