Medical Technologist 3

The UHealth Laboratories Department of Blood Bank Operations is hiring a Medical Technologist 3 to work full-time, on-site in Miami, FL. The Medical Technologist 3 performs a variety of complex and special microbiological, molecular biological and immunological tests on body specimens to provide data for use in treatment and diagnosis of disease.

Requirements

• Verify specimen identification with physicians' orders
• Prepare specimens for testing and handle all specimens safely
• Analyze results and interpret abnormal or unusual results
• Calibrate equipment, order supplies, and maintain inventory
• Administer quality-control tests and maintain data recording
• Orient and train employees on laboratory techniques and operations
• Adhere to University and unit-level policies and procedures
