Job Description
The UHealth Laboratories Department of Blood Bank Operations is hiring a Medical Technologist 3 to work full-time, on-site in Miami, FL. The Medical Technologist 3 performs a variety of complex and special microbiological, molecular biological and immunological tests on body specimens to provide data for use in treatment and diagnosis of disease.
Requirements
- Verify specimen identification with physicians' orders
- Prepare specimens for testing and handle all specimens safely
- Analyze results and interpret abnormal or unusual results
- Calibrate equipment, order supplies, and maintain inventory
- Administer quality-control tests and maintain data recording
- Orient and train employees on laboratory techniques and operations
- Adhere to University and unit-level policies and procedures
